A one-of-a-kind experience
Performance-inspired home entertainment and home automation systems, designed and installed by Reference Designs, Inc.
Automation & Control
Warm the bathroom before you get out of bed in the morning. Turn on the spa before you get home from dinner. Have the irrigation system skip watering the lawn when it's raining. Get a text when your kids get home. You can work anything in your home from anywhere or have your home work for you behind the scenes.
Whole-House Audio & Video
Watch TV in the family room. Listen to your 80's Rock playlist out on the patio while the kids listen to their “music” in the playroom. Music, photos and video can now be sent easily from mobile devices through the home audio/video network with tools such as Apple's AirPlay and Google's Chromecast. We specialize in large-scale projects where it's impractical to install local equipment for every TV; instead we share the required cable boxes, Blu-ray players, Apple TVs and other sources among all the TVs, with no compromise to latest HD standards.
Home Theaters
Watch and listen completely immersed in your movie. Feel the explosions and see the subtle textures and colors as the movie's director intended. We collaborate with the builder and trades to ensure the seating, sightlines and acoustics align with the electronics and interior design to deliver an uncompromising experience.
Lighting & Climate
Eliminate wall clutter with simple keypads instead of banks of switches. Create scenes like Welcome, Entertain, Goodnight… for your different moods. Schedule your motorized shades to open in the morning and close at dusk. Control some or all of your thermostats all at once with one press of a button. Define Away and Vacation modes so that all the systems are off or at desired settings.
Surveillance & Security
Monitor your home and review camera recordings of comings-and-goings. See who is at the front door on your video intercom. Control smart locks remotely to allow access or employ a schedule to ensure doors are locked when they should be.
Network, Remote Access & Communications
Whether in your home or halfway around the world, we ensure you can seamlessly communicate via traditional phones, intercoms, mobile devices and computers. Using the latest WiFi and Ethernet standards, we build the proper network foundation for the ever-growing demands of cloud-based apps and streaming services.
